Product Overview

The TMDS28027USB is a innovative Piccolo controlSTICK allows quick and easy evaluation all of the advanced capabilities of new Piccolo microcontrollers slightly larger than a memory stick. The F2802x Piccolo family of microcontrollers provides the power of the C28x core coupled with highly integrated control peripherals in low pin count devices. This family is code compatible with previous C28x based code, as well as providing a high level of analog integration. An internal voltage regulator allows for single rail operation. Enhancements have been made to the HRPWM module to allow for dual edge control (frequency modulation). Analog comparators with internal 10bit references have been added and can be routed directly to control the PWM outputs. The ADC converts from 0v to 3.3V fixed full scale range and supports ratio metric VREFHI/VREFLO references. The ADC interface has been optimised for low overhead/latency.
  • On board USB JTAG emulation Small USB memory stick form factor access to all control peripherals
  • High efficiency 32bit CPU
  • SCI/SPI/I2C serial port peripherals
  • Single 3.3V supply
  • Integrated power on and brown out resets
  • Two internal zero pin oscillators
  • On chip flash, SARAM, OTP memory
  • Low device and system cost
  • Fast interrupt response and processing
  • Enhanced control peripherals
