Optical / Slot Photoelectric Sensors:

Optical slot sensor is a type of sensor which uses a light beam to detect the presence or absence of an object, within a specified gap or slot.

Types of optical slot sensors:

• Through beam type: It consists of separate emitter and detector units which are mounted opposite to each other in an application.
• Reflective type: Single unit for emitting and detecting light. The reflected light from the object helps in detecting the presence or absence of an object

• Applications: Vending Machines, Cash Counter, ATMs, Pumps, Drug delivery systems, Gas meters, Industrial automation – drives, Joysticks etc.
