Product Information
Product Overview
WiPort is a wireless embedded device server that provides a network-enabling solution based on the IEEE 802.11b/g wireless standard. WiPort allows OEMs to add wireless connectivity to their products by incorporating it onto a circuit board. The WiPort functions independently of a PC, providing a fully integrated solution that combines a processor, memory, 802.11b/g transceiver, and dual high-speed serial ports into a single compact module. It includes an operating system, an embedded Web server and a full TCP/IP protocol stack. In addition, the WiPort sends email alerts and supports numerous other network communication protocols, including ARP, UDP, TCP, ICMP, Telnet, AutoIP, DHCP, HTTP, SNMP and SMTP. WiPort-G models are configurable for wireless bridging. This allows a host connected to the WiPort over a wired Ethernet interface to be accessible over a wireless network.
