Product Overview
74VHC540FT(BJ) is a CMOS digital silicon monolithic IC. It is an advanced high speed CMOS octal bus buffer (Inverted, 3-State Outputs) fabricated with silicon gate C²MOS technology. It achieves the high speed operation similar to equivalent bipolar schottky TTL while maintaining the CMOS low power dissipation. It is an inverting type. When either active-low G1 or active-low G2 are high, the terminal outputs are in the high-impedance state. An input protection circuit ensures that 0 to 5.5V can be applied to the input pins without regard to the supply voltage. This device can be used to interface 5V to 3V systems and two supply systems such as battery back-up. This circuit prevents device destruction due to mismatched supply and input voltages.

- Power down protection is provided on all inputs

- Low power dissipation ICC is 4µA (max) at (Ta = 25°C)
- Input leakage current is ±0.1µA max at (VIN = 5.5V or GND, 0 to 5.5V, Ta = 25°C)
- Quiescent supply current is 4µA max at (VIN = VCC or GND, 5.5V, Ta = 25°C)
- Propagation delay time is 3.7ns typ at (5.0 ±0.5V, CL =15pF, Ta = 25°C, input: tr = tf = 3ns)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
